Physiotherapy Triage in General Practice Helps Reduce the Strain on Primary Care Teams

In late 2023, Tū Ora launched a pilot Physiotherapy triage service in General Practice to manage musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, aiming to streamline patient access and free up GP capacity. Operating two days a week at Newtown Medical Centre, the pilot has supported 59 patients, showcasing potential for wider implementation across the network.
