Pink ribbon breakfast

On May 23rd, the staff at Newtown Medical Centre hosted a Pink Ribbon Breakfast. This event aims to support the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, a vital organization committed to advancing breast cancer research, education, and patient support.

Breast cancer, a persistent global challenge, becomes life-threatening primarily when it spreads beyond the breast. The Breast Cancer Foundation NZ believes that one day, no one will die from breast cancer. They envision a future where early detection and improved treatments can prevent the disease from spreading, much like how conditions such as HIV and diabetes have become manageable over time.

The funds raised through events like the Pink Ribbon Breakfast are crucial. They enable aggressive advancements in early detection, treatment, and long-term support for those affected. Every effort, whether through fundraising, marathons, or donations, brings us closer to a world with zero deaths from breast cancer.

We thank everyone involved for their generous support. Your contributions are not just about funding but about pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the fight against breast cancer.
